Unlike your regular extension cord, VoltSafe Winter also has the ability to pair to an APP-controlled timer. Now you can save time and energy by scheduling the device from the comfort of your couch.

Its magnetic breakaway feature eliminates the safety hazards and difficulties caused by standard extension cords. The magnetic force pulls the plug together immediately activating power and then releases just as easily, leaving the plug’s entire surface completely safe to touch, even with the contacts exposed.

VoltSafe technology sets a new standard in electrical safety and convenience. The cord’s contacts are never live unless fully connected, eliminating all risk to those handling the device, even with its exposed contacts. It is certified safe, simple to use, and a smart solution to those who struggle with cold weather, sore or arthritic hands or are forgetful “unpluggers”. VoltSafe’s patented technology uses magnets not only as a convenient holding mechanism, but also to safely and consistently actuate electricity flow. The presence of the specific magnet triggers the flow of electricity indicated by the white LED light. When the plug is not physically connected, the contacts are safe to touch.

Control your device using the ‘feature-complete’ and better-than-ever, VoltSafe Winter App, available free on iOS and Android stores. Set up an automatic start time for your block heater to save time, money, and energy or simply turn the device on or off from your couch. Newly launched, the app is now WiFi-enabled, and features the ability to edit and change schedules, improved connectivity and stability, account creation with the ability to send invitations to other users, and you can receive notifications about disconnection. You can also share schedules and or enable device sharing plus so much more. (*Compatible with Android 10+ and iOS)

Note: You do not need the app for the plug to function. When the VoltSafe Winter is not paired to the app it functions in standard mode (power flows when connected and turns off when disconnected). The app connects to the VoltSafe Winter via Wi-Fi. You need to be in proximity to the Winter plug to calibrate and set the on/off times.

Using the optional app-controlled timer, you can easily turn VoltSafe Winter on and off, and set a schedule to save energy, time and money from the comforts of your couch. Our technology utilizes unique electrical fingerprints to allow electricity to flow. This process occurs in a span of micro-seconds, effectively eliminating arcing (seen in pronged plugs).

VoltSafe technology is successfully safety certified (in accordance with UL and CSA standards) making it the world’s first high-power prongless (magnetic) connector. VoltSafe is the only prongless technology in the world that delivers lightning-fast charges without power loss (like pronged plugs) and is not to be confused with inductive charging technology.

Note that this product is at the concept-stage. It can be designed as a retrofit or all-new power pedestal.

VoltSafe is working with stakeholders across Europe and North America to develop the new marine-specific standard for charging infrastructure.

VoltSafe tech can be scaled to Level 3 Fast-Charging and can incorporate communications pins.
